1. At the M1 J29 roundabout take the A6175 CLAY CROSS road.
2. After 250 yards turn LEFT down a minor road signposted HARDWICK HALL and STAINSBY.
3. Follow this road for about 2 miles.
4. Pass under the motorway, ignoring the turning to Hardwick Park until you come to the HARDWICK INN.
5. The basecamp is just before the Inn's car park and through a gate marked "Hardwick Croft, Private".
6. The basecamp is in the buildings under the archway.


The "Hardwick Inn" is across the yard and up steps in the corner.

The basecamp has been converted from a range of estate farm buildings behind the local Inn. It has been converted to a high standard with central living area, well equipped kitchen, two dormitories and two washrooms. Formerly cold, now full central heating has been installed throughout the living/sleeping areas.
