Stourhead Basecamp

1. From the A303 turn off on to the B3092 to MERE and follow the several National Trust signs to STOURHEAD.
2. On entering STOURTON village, drive past the car park signs and turn RIGHT up the drive towards the house, through the STONE ARCH.
3. Take the 2nd LEFT into the estate stableyard (not shown on map).
4. The basecamp is diagonally opposite your entrance, with the door seen to the right of the granary in front and raised on steddles, in which are some dormitories.


Meeting place is normally the "Spread Eagle" in Stourton village, just down the road.

The basecamp is situated in part of the estate stableyard and has been renovated to a high standard. There are 2 spacious dormitories (one of which is in the separate old granary), kitchen, 2 washrooms, dining and common room with log stove.
